Steve Jobs Founder of Apple

Steve Jobs (1955-2011), inventor, entrepreneur, co-founder and former CEO of Apple Inc. In 1976, Jobs and his friends founded Apple Computer Company. He accompanied the rise and fall and revival of Apple for decades. He successively led and launched the Macintosh computer, iMac, iPod, iPhone and other electronic products that swept hundreds of millions of people around the world, profoundly changing the way of modern communication, entertainment and even life. He died of illness on October 5, 2011 at the age of 56.

Jobs is considered to be a landmark figure in the computer industry and entertainment industry. After decades of ups and downs, he has led and launched Macintosh computers, iMacs, iPods, iPhones, iPads and other popular electronic products around the world, profoundly changing the modern communication, entertainment and lifestyle. Jobs is also the chairman and CEO of the former Pixar Animation Studio.

Chronological resume

On February 24, 1955, Jobs was born in San Francisco, USA.

In 1972, he graduated from Homestead High School in Los Altos, California, and then entered Reed College in Portland, Oregon. He dropped out six months later.

In 1976, Jobs and Steve Wozniak founded Apple.

In 1985, Jobs was awarded the National Medal of Technology by President Reagan.

In 1997, he became the cover character of Time magazine; In the same year, he was rated as the most successful manager, a famous "computer maniac".

In 2007, Steve Jobs was named the most powerful businessman Fortune of the year by Fortune magazine [3].

In 2009, he was selected as the best CEO of the United States in this decade by Fortune magazine, and was elected as one of the People of the Year by Time magazine in the same year.

Jobs' career has greatly influenced the legend of venture entrepreneurship in Silicon Valley, and he popularized the design concept of aesthetics first around the world. His admiration for simple and convenient design has won him many loyal followers. Jobs and Wozniak jointly made personal computers popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He was also the first person to see the commercial potential of the mouse.

In 1985, Jobs left Apple in the high-level power struggle and founded NeXT, aiming at the professional market.

In 1997, Apple acquired NeXT, and Jobs returned to Apple to take over as CEO.

In 2011, Jobs resigned as CEO.

He died on October 5, 2011 at the age of 56.
