Setbacks And Failures Are Both Trials And Opportunities On The Entrepreneurial Journey

We must make the most of the opportunities that God has given us

Last updated: Nov 20, 2025

Setbacks and failures are inevitable on the entrepreneurial journey, and victory and defeat are a common occurrence in the military since ancient times. Only those who can stand up to setbacks and failures can be considered as a qualified entrepreneur. Looking at history can help you realise that setbacks and failures are both trials and opportunities, and which historical figures did not go through many trials and tribulations before achieving something great. Looking at history can also help our friends in the throes of failure to develop a good world view.

Whatever setbacks or failures you have endured, since they have happened and since you are experiencing them, congratulations it is all in the past. Be glad that we are still alive, that we are still alive after our setbacks and failures, and that God has given us a chance to clean up our act and start all over again. So, setbacks and failures aren't all trials and tribulations, at least you've been through them, and experience is experience, and experience is wealth.

Some may say that everyone knows this, but where are the opportunities? Why do I see only darkness and despair? Then I'll share with you how I got through that experience of wanting to die even after I had just failed. After the failure, life and psychological, internal and external pressures were everywhere, and I thought of the relief of death, but after thinking about it, I felt that I could not afford to die.

I have learned two ways to get out of the darkness and see the light. The first is to study history. In the long history you will find that what you have experienced is nothing. Whether it's the most famous or the most infamous, it's all about the ups and downs, so reading history can help you regain your confidence. Secondly, in astronomy, there was a short film that inspired me the most, I think it was called Vast Universe. The camera goes from a blade of grass to the edge of the universe, and then back to a blade of grass. After watching this short film think about yourself and the setbacks and failures that have happened to you.

Why is it also an opportunity? It really is a rare opportunity. For one thing, regardless of age, some things are experienced and understood you are a hundred years old and have not experienced this thing you still do not understand. This is our chance to get it. Secondly, we finally have the time and the opportunity to look at and understand ourselves in a new light. This is the time to think about it and not really understand it. Thirdly, it gives us the opportunity to know who is inseparable from our lives, who is just passing through, and who is even the devil in our lives. Without setbacks and failures, you will never see these three things in your life.

We must make the most of the opportunities that God has given us. Look at difficulties as difficulties he is difficulties, look at difficulties as steps he is steps, everything comes from within.
